How to Make Your Own Vape Juice the Easy Way

Experienced vapers who have tried and successfully made their own vape juices often recommend making home made vape juices to others. There are many good reasons to do this but as simple as it seems, not many people know exactly where start or end. You might want to make your own vape juice for many good reasons. Some of the most common being wanting to have a juice that most suits your needs and taste. Another being that you are tired of buying seemingly overpriced vape juices. These are justifiable reasons. To make your own vape juice, you need to be well informed and understand the process and requirements. Here are some simple steps to making your own e-liquid at home.

To start to make the your own vape liquid, you need to know and make ready all the requirements. These include the liquid base, which is Vegetable glycerin and Propylene Glycol which will be mixed together, a flavor concentrate of your choice and nicotine if preferred. You also need to get ready syringes for measuring or any suitable calibrated measuring equipment and of course a container to mix and store the final mixed ejuice in.

The first step of the process is to know the quantity of each ingredient that is going to be mixed. This can be done by starting with the calculation of the amount of nicotine to add to VG/PG mix. This can be done with the formula, Target Strength / Starting Strength * Total Liquid Amount. An example would be that you want 30ml of 0.6% (6ml) strength juice and you have 1.2% (12mg) nicotine liquid. So, 0.6 / 1.2 * 30 = 15ml. You would need 10ml of 1.2% (12mg) nicotine liquid to make 30ml of a 0.6% (6mg) strength juice.

Second is to measure the amount of flavor concentrate that will be need to get the desired amount of ejuice you want to mix. Flavor concentrates come in different concentrations and it is best to follow manufacturer’s instructions or instructions of the recipe you are following. If you are following an e-liquid recipe which states you need 5% raspberry, this means 5% of the total mixture must be strawberry flavour concentrate. For example, if you are making 30ml of liquid you would require 1.2ml of strawberry flavouring (0.05*30=1.5). If you have no recipe, the flavor concentrate can be about 10-20% of the total mix being made although you can still go higher than 20%

The third step is to measure the liquid base that is the vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol combination. Both have different tastes and impact the sensation as well as cloud production with vegetable glycerin being the most impactful. The measurement will be the remaining volume needed to get to your desired volume thus (15+1.5)-30 = 13.5ml. Divide this to get 50/50 ratio for the VG/PG. You can choose any percentage you want and go with that mix.

Now add the nicotine to the vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol base. Then add the flavor concentrate to the liquid. Close the bottle or container and shake the content together to make a perfectly mixed juice. Label the juice for future reference especially if you have other juices or intend making new one.

Finally, it is recommended you let the e-liquid steep for about a week to three weeks to allow the flavor reach its max potential. Steeping is not a requirement but is totally recommended and worth the wait.

Flavor concentrates are important when making ejuices and you can get a wide range of flavors at They deal in cheap ejuice flavor concentrates whether in bulk or as single products.
